Ambiguities in wills
There are two kinds of ambiguities in wills. First is patent or extrinsic ambiguities. Second is latent or intrinsic ambiguities.
Patent ambiguity is one which appears upon the face of the instrument. Latent ambiguity is one which cannot be seen from the reading of the will but which appears only upon consideration of extrinsic circumstances.
