Article 804. Every will must be in writing and executed in a language or dialect known to the testator. (Civil Code of the Philippines)
There can be no oral wills. The law requires them to be in writing. Also, there is a language requirement; they must be written in a language or dialect the testator could speak or understand when he was alive. Note that the law speaks of language or dialect "known to" and not necessarily "spoken by."
